Background

I have worked as a Clinical Psychologist within various contexts, and have dealt predominantly with severe mental illness throughout my career. The experience has afforded me the privilege of working with a diverse population of incredibly complex and interesting human beings.

I have worked predominantly in the Forensic setting, which started in South Africa at Sterkfontein Forensic Hospital. Since moving to New Zealand in 2019, I have worked as a Clinical Psychologist in the following settings:

- Forensic Prison Team (Mason Clinic, Auckland) covering MECF and Auckland Regional Prison

- Clinical Manager of Mental Health at Otago Corrections Facility

- Senior Professional Practice Fellow at Otago University

While working at Mason Clinic I completed a number of S38 court reports and acted as an expert witness when required to do so by the courts. I find this work intellectual stimulating and rewarding, helping both the client and the courts navigate some of the complexities around mental health.

What We Offer

PsychServicesNZ offers specialised psychological assessment and supervision services on a private basis. The site offers online consultations which work by appointment only. In person assessments for clients remanded in custody can be done face-to-face with prior arrangement.
